To obtain Armenian citizenship based on your Armenian ethnicity, the following documents must be submitted:
- The applicant's passport,
- the applicant's birth certificate,
- a photograph (35*45 mm) complying with ISO standards,
- if the birth certificate does not specify "Armenian" ethnicity, you must attach a supporting document, such as:
- the applicant's baptism certificate,
- the birth certificate of a parent (grandfather, grandmother, siblings) or another document containing a record of their Armenian ethnicity,
- the marriage certificate of the parents (or grandparents).
- the birth certificate or other proof of ethnicity for a paternal or maternal half-sibling, if their Armenian ethnicity is derived from your shared parent.
- in the case of a father (or grandfather), a certificate of paternity recognition or a marriage certificate.
- a document issued by the competent authorities of a foreign state confirming Armenian ethnicity.

Documents confirming Armenian ethnicity are optional in the sense that you may submit any one of the mentioned documents that best proves your background.
