How to Apply

To submit an application for the termination of a minor's Armenian citizenship, the parent or legal representative must:

• Register and log in to their personal account,
• select the "Applications" section from the menu,
• create a new application,
• select the type of service,
• choose the legal basis for renouncing the minor's citizenship,
• on the next page, if there are data discrepancies or changes, check the box and attach a supporting document,
• verify the personal details (you may add an additional residential address and phone number),
• attach the required documents based on the specific case,
• upload a 35x45 mm photo of the minor,
• download the standard consent forms for the non-applicant parent and the minor (if applicable),
• review all information for completeness and submit the application,
• pay the state fee by clicking the corresponding button.

Requirements

The following individuals may apply to terminate a minor's Armenian citizenship:

• A parent (who may be an Armenian citizen or a foreign national),
• an officially recognized legal representative.

Required Documents

The necessary documentation depends on the legal basis of the application for the minor.

Documents to be attached according to the category:

• Documents proving the minor holds citizenship of another country.
• Documents proving the minor has legal assurance of acquiring another citizenship.
• Documents for cases where legal assurance will be provided within a three-month period.

Payment Amount and Procedure

Once all documents are uploaded and details are filled, the state fee must be paid online through the system.

The state fee for renouncing citizenship is AMD 150,000.

The system will redirect you to the online payment page after you have attached the necessary documents.

Processing Time and Procedure

You will be notified of the application approval via email and through the platform within 15 business days of submission.

 If required translations are missing or documents do not match the selected basis, the application will be returned for corrections. You will have 10 business days to make the necessary changes.

Upon approval, you will receive a notification to book an appointment. You must then visit the Migration and Citizenship Service (MCS) office or an Armenian Embassy/Consulate at the scheduled time with the original copies of all documents.
