  • To start a business, you must first choose its legal type and then register it with the state by submitting or attaching the required documents.
  • Within 20 days of registering your business, you must choose the taxation system that will determine your future tax rates.
  • You must also submit a declaration of beneficial owners within 40 days after registration. Individual entrepreneurs do not submit this declaration.
  • A business must also have a bank account, and you must also obtain a license to engage in certain types of activities.

Choose a Business Taxation System

To pay business taxes in Armenia, you must register with the tax authority's electronic reporting system and select one of the available taxation systems. To choose the most suitable option, first familiarize yourself with the turnover, micro-entrepreneurship, or general taxation systems.

Attention
If you choose the micro-enterprise or turnover taxation system, you must submit a relevant declaration to the tax authority within 20 days of registering your business, otherwise you will be taxed under the general system for the given tax year.
