Obtain Permission to Use The Symbols (coat of arms, name) of The Communities of the Republic of Armenia or Settlements Included in The Communities in The Company Name
The company's corporate name may contain the name of a settlement in the Republic of Armenia (name of an administrative-territorial unit), which, in order to be used in the company name, requires obtaining appropriate permission prior to registering the organization.
To Get it, You Need
- Pay the prescribed fee of 100,000 AMD (it must be transferred online or physically to the local budget's unified account and save the payment receipt, which must necessarily bear the bank's seal)
- Visit the relevant regional or community administration and submit an application in the name of the regional or community head (in the case of a community name, also indicate the name of the region in the application)
- Submit the payment receipt or its 20-digit code to the application
Amount and Procedure for Payment
The permission fee to use the names of the Republic of Armenia communities or their constituent settlements (including Yerevan) in a company name is set by the community council before approving the community's annual budget (therefore, it may differ each year).
The fee must also be paid in the future for each subsequent year.
Issue period and procedure
The permit is issued for the current year within 3 business days after receiving the application.
Attention
Permission to use the names of settlements in the Republic of Armenia will not be required if they coincide with the names of the founder, participant, shareholder, their children or parents. To confirm this fact, an appropriate document (for example, a birth certificate) must be submitted.
If a legal entity has been allowed to use the name of a settlement, in the event of a subsequent change of the founder, participant or shareholder, no separate permission is required.
