Get or Exchange a Driver's License

There is no application required to obtain a driver's license; it is necessary to pass 2-stage qualifying exams:

Second, upon successfully passing the practical exam, you must approach an employee of the registration and examination department to obtain your driver's license. The photograph taken during the theoretical exam will be used for the license.

If your license is lost or expired, you must also visit your preferred registration and examination department after scheduling an appointment.

You can apply for this service in person by booking an appointment in advance.

To exchange your driver's license, you will need:

  • Visit www.roadpolice.am
  • Click on the “Driving License” button, which is located in the center of the screen.
  • In the opened window, select the preferred Registration and Examination Department
  • Check the “without exam (exchange, loss)” option
  • Fill in the public services number (PSN)
  • Fill in the phone number
  • Click on the “Register” button

After completing these steps, a message will be sent to the phone number stating that the reservation has been confirmed.

Delivery Period and Procedure

Due to the workload of the preferred Registration and Examination Department, there may be a need to wait several days. At least the day before submitting the new driver's license application, another message regarding the exam date and time will be sent.
