How to apply

To register a death with the state and obtain a death certificate, it is necessary to visit a territorial office of the Civil Status Acts Registration Agency

Required documents

The following documents must be submitted to the CSARA:

• The applicant's identification document and its copy,
• the passport of the deceased,
• a death certificate (medical notice) and the conclusion on the cause of death issued by a pathology center or a physician.

Processing time and procedure

The hard copy of the death certificate is provided on the same day the application is submitted.

If necessary, it is also possible to obtain a duplicate of the death certificate online (including duplicates of paper certificates issued prior to 2021).
