Apply to Child Support Day Care Centers

The program aims to support children aged 0–18 in difficult life circumstances by ensuring their right to live in a family and promoting social inclusion. It assesses the child’s social needs and provides relevant socio-psychological services to prevent or overcome hardship.

You can apply for this service by visiting the office in person.

Armenian and foreign citizens
Application Duration
10-15 minutes

To apply, you must submit the required documents either to the regional center of the Unified Social Service or to NGOs providing daycare services for children.

 

About the Program

Within the program, beneficiaries can receive free speech therapy, psychological counseling and other various services.

Daycare services are available in Yerevan and in the regions of Ararat, Kotayk, Tavush, Gegharkunik, Lori, Syunik, Aragatsotn, Vayots Dzor, Armavir, and Shirak.

The program includes:

  • Development of children’s socio-psychological capacities and basic life skills,
  • Services to address speech disorders,
  • Art therapy,
  • Personal development,
  • Social work with the family, involving relevant stakeholders to create favorable conditions for the protection of children’s rights, including the right to live in a family,
  • Legal consultation and referral services related to healthcare, social issues, and education,
  • Food packages for children attending the daycare center,
  • Provision of a personal assistant (at least one beneficiary), based on the individual needs of the child, etc.

Care in the center is provided:

  • Based on a written application from the child’s parent or legal representative,
  • With the initiative of the center.

Services are provided 5 days a week: Monday to Friday.

Required Documents

For RA citizens:

  • Passport or ID card; or a birth certificate for children under 16,
  • If there is no ID card: Social Services Number (SSN) or a statement confirming SSN was not issued,
  • Medical certificate regarding the child’s health status, issued by a medical institution,
  • In case of disability: a functional assessment decision.

For foreign nationals with residency in Armenia or stateless persons: 

  • Residency document (residence card); if holding refugee status – a Convention Travel Document,
  • Medical certificate from a medical institution,
  • Functional assessment decision (if the child has a disability).

Service Duration and Process

  • The timeline and procedure for receiving the service should be clarified directly with the NGO to which the applicant is referred by the Unified Social Service center.
