Registering Divorce for RA Citizens in Armenia
An application for divorce can be submitted if the marriage was registered at the Civil Status Acts Registration (ZAGS) of the Republic of Armenia, at RA consulates operating abroad, or in a foreign country, provided there is jurisdiction established by international treaties.
A divorce certificate is issued upon the state registration of the divorce. If necessary, a duplicate of the certificate can also be obtained online (including duplicates of paper certificates issued before 2021).
How to Apply
To register a divorce online, after clicking the "Continue" button, you must:
- complete the "YesEm" identification process,
- fill in the applicant's personal details,
- follow the instructions for the required steps,
- select the relevent option if the applicant wishes to finalize the divorce through an accelerated procedure,
- verify the applicant's data, submit the application, pay the fee, and sign,
- notify the other spouse via email,
- digitally sign and officially submit the application.
Requirements
To use the online divorce registration service, you must have:
- a registered marriage,
- a "YesEm" identification account and a digital signature.
Required Information
For online divorce registration, the applicant's phone number and email address are required.
Payment Amount and Procedure
- If the state registration of divorce takes place within one month after submitting the application, the state fee is AMD 10,000.
- If the applicant wishes to divorce via the accelerated process (without waiting the standard 1-month period), the state fee is AMD 100,000.
Delievery Period and Procedure
- The divorce is finalized 1 month after the application date, on the following working day.
- The divorce is processed at the applicant's preferred time, but no sooner than the next working day after submission.
- The divorce certificate is sent to the email addresses of both former spouses.
