Report an Incident
If a traffic accident has occurred, it is necessary to notify the insurance company servicing the vehicle and register the accident.
To register an accident via the mobile app, you need:
- Open the ASWA application
- Fill in the agreed declaration
When filling out the declaration, the following information must be provided:
- General information about the accident
- Information about the participants in the accident and the vehicles they were driving
- Information about the relative positions of the vehicles and the damage caused
Then, it is necessary to:
- Sign the declaration
- Click the "Register an accident" button
- Indicate the date and location of the accident
- Follow the steps and attach photos of the accident
If the above conditions are not applicable, the accident can be recorded physically.
An accident is registered through an agreed declaration via a mobile application if:
- Two vehicles were involved in the accident
- At least one of them had a valid MTPL contract at the time of the accident
- Damage was caused only to the participating vehicles
- One of the participating drivers admits his guilt
- The amount of compensation expected by the victim does not exceed 100,000 AMD in the regions and 400,000 AMD in Yerevan
Except for accidents regulated by an agreed declaration, the Traffic Police and, in Yerevan, the patrol service register all other car accidents.
In such cases, it is necessary to
- Immediately following the accident, contact the traffic police (or, in Yerevan, the patrol service) to report the incident.
- Before their arrival, move the vehicles if necessary and take measures to preserve any relevant traces and objects.
- Inform your insurance company by phone within 40 minutes of the accident, regardless of their immediate availability.
- Participate in the document preparation process conducted by the traffic police (or, in Yerevan, the patrol service), providing any necessary information.
