Exchange a Passport for a Child or an Adult
To exchange a passport in Yerevan, you must physically appear at the preferred passport office, having previously booked a visit. A queue system has not yet been implemented in the regions; you must appear physically without having previously booked a visit.
When booking a visit, please provide the details of the individual attending the appointment. Each visitor, regardless of age, must be registered individually.
An application for the passport exchange for a citizen under the age of 16 is submitted by the child's parent or legal representative (adoptive parent, guardian, or trustee). Moreover, if the parent or legal representative cannot submit the application in person, the authenticity of his or her signature on the submitted application must be notarized.
To register online, you need:
- After identification, fill in the required data (first and last name must be filled in Armenian, as written in the passport) and click the "Next page" button
- On the page that opens, enter your e-mail address and phone number, then the code sent to your e-mail
- In the "Visit Reservation" field on the page that opens, select the department located at 17/10, Davtashen, 4th district
- You must fill in the data of the person for whom the application is submitted
- In the "Select Day and Time" window, select the most convenient option from the available days and times
Requirements
To exchange a passport, you need to:
- Be registered in the State Population Register.
- When registering a place of residence (address registration), a person's data about their place of residence is recorded in the State Population Register.
The passport is exchanged if:
- The validity period has expired
- The citizen has changed the data about him/her in the state population register that is included in the passport
- The citizen has lost the passport
- The passport contains incorrect data
- The pages of the passport intended for affixing entry visas have been filled
- The citizen has expressed such a desire
Required Documents
To exchange your passport, you must present:

The passport to be exchanged (except in cases where the passport has been lost)

Two color photographs measuring 35 x 45 mm

If the required documents are in a foreign language, their translations into Armenian made and certified in accordance with the procedure prescribed by law.

If possible, also photocopies of the documents
If the data in the passport has been changed or is incorrect, it is also necessary to submit:
- A document issued by a competent authority certifying the change or inaccuracy.
Citizens liable for military service (male citizens aged 18-55) must also present:
- Military record book or, in its absence, a certificate from the territorial military commissariat.
Payment Amount and Procedure
To exchange a passport, you need to pay 1,000 AMD.
In case of loss, you need to pay 1,000 AMD to get a new passport.
Payment can be made through the payment terminal installed in the department or online in advance by presenting the payment receipt.
The payment bank account number for receiving the passport within the specified period is 900005162152.
Delivery Time and Procedure
The passport is issued on the 5th working day after application, and in case of loss – on the 10th working day after application.
To receive a new passport, it is necessary to visit the passport office where the person applied for its exchange.
It is also possible to receive the passport earlier. In this case, payment can only be made at the passport office via a payment terminal.
In Case of Exchange:

AMD 1,000+10,000 to receive the passport on the 3rd working day,

AMD 1,000+20,000 to receive the passport within 1 working day.
In Case of Loss:

1,000+40,000 AMD to receive the passport on the 5th working day,
-
1,000+50,000 AMD to receive the passport on the 3rd working day,
-
1,000+60,000 AMD to receive the passport within 1 working day.
