Get an Apostille Certification for Documents

Documents sent to countries that are part of the 1961 Hague Convention must be certified with an apostille.

In Armenia, only official documents issued and prepared in Armenia can be apostilled. Foreign documents cannot be apostilled in Armenia.

Apostille certification for documents can be obtained either online or physically.

You can apply for this service by visiting the office in person.

Official documents are apostilled by the Ministry of Justice of Armenia, except for certificates related to criminal prosecution, wanted status, and criminal convictions. These are apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

To apply, visit the Ministry of Justice of Armenia (Address: Yerevan 0010, Vazgen Sargsyan 3/8) and submit the required documents.


Required Documents

To obtain an apostille, the following documents must be submitted by the applicant or an authorized representative:

  • An identity document of the applicant,
  • The official document to be apostilled,
  • A receipt confirming payment of the state duty.


Payment Amount and Procedure

The apostille certification fee is 7,000 AMD. Payment can be made:

  • Online
  • By bank transfer to the state budget account of Armenia (900005163523). In the "Purpose" field, enter "For apostille on documents" (if the bank app doesn’t allow a transfer to this account, please choose the "Transfer to state budget" option).

Delivery Period and Procedure

The apostilled document will be provided within 1 working day. It can be collected from the Ministry of Justice of Armenia (Address: Yerevan 0010, Vazgen Sargsyan 3/8) between 16:00 and 17:00 on the day after the application is submitted.

Processing may take longer if additional verification of the document’s authenticity is required.

The authenticity of the electronic apostille can be verified by visiting www.e-verify.am 

Attention:

At the bottom of the electronic apostille form, the total number of pages of the official document is displayed. For large official documents, the validity check will reflect the first 6 pages of the document.
