Get documents apostilled
Documents are apostilled when they are intended to be sent to countries that are members of the Hague Convention of October 5, 1961.
In Armenia, only official documents issued in the Republic of Armenia can be apostilled. Documents issued by foreign countries cannot be apostilled in Armenia.
You can get documents apostilled online or in person.
Official documents are apostilled by the Ministry of Justice of Armenia, except for certificates of criminal prosecution, wanted status, or absence of a criminal record, which are apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
To apostille documents in person, you need to visit the Ministry of Justice (Yerevan 0010, Vazgen Sargsyan 3/8) and submit the required documents.
At the Ministry, you need to take a queue ticket:
- On the kiosk screen, select "Individual" or "Legal entity",
 - Click "Submit document",
 - To receive the already apostilled document, press "Receive document" on the screen.
 
Required documents
To get a document apostilled, you must submit the following documents in person or via an authorized representative:
- applicant’s identification document,
 - the official document to be apostilled,
 - state duty payment receipt.
 
Payment amount and procedure
The fee for apostilling a document is 7,000 AMD. You can pay in one of the following ways:
- Online (if paying online, print the payment receipt and submit it in paper form).
 - On-site via POS terminal.
 - Via a bank transfer to the RA state budget account 900005163523. In the "Purpose" field, enter "For apostille of documents" (If the bank app doesn’t allow a transfer to this account, please choose the "Transfer to state budget" option).
 
Delivery period and procedure
The apostilled document will be provided within 1 working day. To receive it, you must visit the Ministry of Justice of Armenia (address: Yerevan 0010, Vazgen Sargsyan 3/8) on the next day from 16:00 to 17:00.
Processing may take longer if additional verification of the document’s authenticity is required.
You can check the authenticity of the electronic apostille by visiting www.e-verify.am
 and entering the tracking number or scanning the QR code printed on the apostille.
At the bottom of the electronically apostilled document, the total number of pages of the apostilled document is indicated. When verifying large documents, the system displays up to 6 pages of the document.
