Receive a University Tuition Fee Compensation

Within the framework of the program, tuition fee compensation is provided as financial aid to students who have been admitted to higher education institutions through a competitive process, have demonstrated high academic performance during the academic year, and to students from socially vulnerable families.

Currently, this service is available only in person. We are working on the online version.

To receive full or partial tuition fee compensation, students must submit an application to their higher education institution between August 15 and September 15 of each year.

Eligibility Criteria
For Full Tuition Fee Compensation, applicants must meet one of the following conditions:

  • Have the highest academic performance based on one academic year’s exam and test results,
  • Be deprived of parental care,
  • Be classified under 1st or 2nd group disability or be a parent of a child with a disability,
  • Be from the family of a fallen servicemember,
  • Have acquired a disability during compulsory military service,
  • Be studying in a profession prioritized and deemed important by the state (list available).

For Partial Tuition Fee Compensation, applicants must meet one of the following conditions:

  • Be socially vulnerable,
  • Be raised by a single parent,
  • Come from a family with 3 or more underage or university-level children,
  • Be from a family with 2 or more children enrolled in paid tuition programs,
  • Have parents with 1st or 2nd group disabilities,
  • Be children of teachers working in remote mountainous or border villages,
  • Be a parent of a child under 1 year old,
  • Demonstrate high academic performance.

Required Documents
To apply for tuition fee compensation, the following documents must be submitted:

  • Application form,
  • Document certifying social status (e.g., a certificate from a regional office of social services confirming the family's vulnerability).

Provision Timeline and Procedure

  • Financial assistance is provided within 15 working days after the application review.
  • Each year, the Government of Armenia approves the number and amount of state scholarships based on the annual state budget allocations for higher education institutions.
