Get a "YesEm" Mobile ID SIM Card as a Foreigner

Foreigners holding a residency status in the Republic of Armenia can obtain a "YesEm" mobile ID SIM card.

The card is the simplest way to use digital identification and electronic signature services. It allows you to access digital services online via a mobile phone without the need for additional devices.

How to Apply

To obtain a "YesEm" Mobile ID SIM card, you must visit the Unified Office for Public Services (Vazgen Sargsyan St. 3) with the necessary documents, and then visit an office of your preferred Mobile Network Operator (Ucom, Viva-MTS, or Team Telecom).


Requirements

This service is available to foreigners who possess a Public Services Number (PSN).


Required Documents

Along with your Public Services Number, you must present one of the following documents:

  • Temporary Residence Card,
  • Permanent Residence Card,
  • Special Passport,
  • Certificate of Legality of Stay,


Payment Amount and Procedure

  • A fee of AMD 500 is required for the re-issuance of the SIM card.
  • If purchasing a new SIM card, you must also pay the cost of the tariff plan according to the operator's rates.
  • To use the electronic digital signature service, an annual fee of AMD 3,000 applies.


Delievery Procedure

To acquire the "YesEm" Mobile ID SIM card, you must:

  • Visit the Unified Office for Public Services (Vazgen Sargsyan St. 3) once with one of the aforementioned documents to have the relevant identification entry made in the registration system for foreigners.
  • Afterward, visit an office of your preferred Mobile Network Operator (Ucom, Viva-MTS, or Team Telecom) to obtain the SIM card by presenting:
    • a valid residence document,
    • an identification document,
    • Public Services Number (PSN).

Note
Foreigners who personally received a residence card or a certificate of legal residence via the workpermit.am platform after August 23, 2024, and who received an email regarding the possibility of obtaining a "YesEm" Mobile ID, are not required to visit the Unified Office.
