Apply for Invitation Letter

An invitation letter is a formal document submitted by an eligible individual or entity in Armenia that includes the particulars, purpose, and duration of the planned visit for a foreign invitee. It is only valid after being approved by an authorized state body and serves as a key supporting document for the foreigner's visa application.

It is possible to apply for an invitation online by sending an application through the e-request.am website.


How to Apply

To send an invitation application, after clicking the "Continue" button, you need to:

  • Complete the "YesEm" identification and log in to the Unified Platform for Electronic Requests.
  • From the opened window, select the form type, in this case, "Application".
  • On the next page, select who you are applying as: an individual or a legal entity.
  • Fill in the required fields in the provided application form.
  • Briefly draft the application, clearly stating the goal is to apply for an invitation.
  • Attach the necessary documents.
  • Review and then confirm the application.
  • Sign and submit.


Requriements

To be able to apply for invitation letter of Armenia you need to be:

  • citizen of Armenia (residing in the Republic of Armenia)
  • foreigner holding a residence status in the Republic of Armenia
  • registered Armenian legal entity
  • accredited government/international body (such as an embassy, consular office, or international organization/representation)


Required documents

The applicant shall submit:

  • passport /as well as the residence card, in the case the applicant is a foreign national/;
  • application form;
  • passport copy of the inviting party;
  • the receipt confirming the payment of state duty.

Additional documents

  • Bank account statement,
  • visas or residence cards received from other countries,
  • documents on activities in other countries,
  • hotel reservation documents


Payment amount and procedure

The fee for obtaining an ID card is 5,000 AMD. Payment can be made at the office using a payment terminal or in advance by providing a payment receipt.


Delivery period and procedure

The employee at the Visas and Foreign Citizens Registration Division first checks all submitted documents for completeness and consistency. Once the check is complete and the forms are finalized, the foreign national's information is entered into the database. The original documents are then returned to the applicant, and they will be notified of the final decision once the entire procedure is finished.

The processing time takes 7 business days.
