To register a child for school, you must first verify the accuracy of personal data by doing the following:

• Fill in the required fields to check the accuracy of the personal information (this section requires the information to be in Armenian characters, and you may need the help of someone to fill it out for you).

After verifying the data, you must:

• Visit hayt.emis.am

  ,
• Select the province and community,
• Click the “View Schools” button,
• In the pop-up window, select the appropriate school by clicking the “Add a request” button,
• Fill in the child’s and parent’s information, then click “Apply.”

Eligibility Requirements
Parents with Armenian or foreign citizenship can register their child for school if the child turns 6 years old on or before December 31 of the given year.

Children younger than this age are not allowed to be admitted to school.

Attention
During the admission process, priority is given to: 

• Children who have siblings already attending the same school,
• Children from socially vulnerable families, children under guardianship, children with disabilities, or children of parents with disabilities, who live within walking distance of the school (In such cases, the application and the relevant certificate from the Unified Social Service must be sent to [email protected]),
• Children of public sector employees who have been transferred to another locality within Armenia on internal assignment for a period of at least six months,
• Children of staff members at the respective school.

Admission Procedure

• When admitting a child to the first grade of a general education school, testing the child’s knowledge is prohibited.
• Children with special educational needs are admitted under the same general conditions as all other students.

Timeline and Procedure
After submitting the application, the applicant will be notified of the child's admission via email and phone call within 10 working days.
