Apply for Work Pension

The work pension is provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia based on a citizen's work experience. The longer the work experience, the higher the work pension amount.

You can apply for this service by visiting the office in person.

To apply for an old-age pension, visit the local social services department and submit the required documents.


Requirements

A citizen who is 63 years old and has at least 10 years of work experience can apply for the work pension.


Required Documents

To apply for a work pension, the following documents are needed:

  • Application form,
  • Identification card or passport,
  • Social security card (if you have the identification card, this is not necessary) or a certificate stating that the card was not received,
  • Work book, or other documents or archival certificates verifying work experience (if necessary),
  • Certificate confirming social security payments, provided by the tax service department or a certificate from the employer showing salary details by years and months,
  • Higher education diploma,
  • Birth certificate(s) of children or certificate of birth,
  • Military service record book (for men),
  • 4 x 6 size photo.

Delivery Period and Procedure

Notification about the approval or rejection of the pension will be sent within 10 working days.

If the pension is granted through non-cash payment, the recipient will be notified via SMS for the first time.
