Making Corrections, Additions, or Changes to Birth, Marriage, or Other Certificates

- Collect and submit the required documents.
Requirements
To make a change in a certificate, one of the following grounds must be met:

- The act record was originally made based on the applicant's declaration, which did not require the submission of supporting documents at that time.
Required documents
-
The applicant's identity document (or a copy) for whom the civil status act registration was made. In the case of a minor, the parent's or guardian's identity document is required, for an individual declared legally incapacitated, the document of their legal representative (curator) must be provided.
-
Documents justifying the claim presented in the application. In their absence, information that allows for the verification of the grounds for the claim must be provided.
-
The certificate subject to correction, addition, or change, or the specific data of the act record.
Attention
If the correction, addition, or change leads to a change in an identity document, you must also submit a document from the competent authority issued no more than 1 month before the application. This document must confirm that the person aged 16 or older is not subject to criminal prosecution in Armenia, is not serving a criminal sentence, and is not a wanted person.
