Obtain a Continuing Professional Development Certificate for Healthcare Workers

In Armenia, in order to continue working in the healthcare sector, healthcare workers must apply to obtain a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certificate every 5 years.

You can apply for this service by visiting the office in person.

To obtain the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certificate, healthcare workers must apply to the National Institute of Health of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia
(address: Komitas Avenue 49/4 building, phone: 8501).

Requirements

Eligible applicants are healthcare workers who have worked at least 3 years in their specialty during the past 5 years and have earned the required credits as follows:

  • Senior healthcare worker: 220 credits
  • Pharmacist: 160 credits
  • Mid-level healthcare worker: 140 credits
  • Pharmacy technician: 100 credits

These annual credits accumulate from the healthcare worker’s yearly activities, such as training abroad, scientific work, etc.

Required Documents

To obtain the certificate, the following documents must be submitted:

  • Application (provided on site)
  • Passport or ID card
  • Diploma
  • Certificate from the workplace
  • Proof of earned continuing professional development credits

Procedure and Timeline

  • The application is approved or rejected within 5 working days after submission.
  • If documents are incomplete, the applicant is notified and asked to submit missing documents within 3 days. Failure to do so results in rejection.
  • Applicants who pass the minimum threshold on the test receive the CPD certificate within 2 working days.
