Receive Free Textbooks
Within the framework of the program, textbooks are provided free of charge to students in grades 1–4 of both public and private general education schools in the Republic of Armenia.
To receive free textbooks, general education institutions submit the textbook demand of their schools to the “Textbooks” Department of the National Center for Educational Technologies (NCET) (address: Yerevan, Burnazyan 37).
Application Requirements
The program is open to students in grades 1–4 of public and private educational institutions implementing general education programs who are either members of national minorities of the Republic of Armenia or have visual impairments.
Required Documents
To receive support, it is necessary to submit:
- A document confirming the student’s membership in a national minority,
- A document verifying the need to organize learning through Braille textbooks (for students with visual impairments).
Distribution Procedure and Timeline
- Textbooks are delivered by August 15 to the regional administrations and Yerevan Municipality, from where they are distributed to educational institutions, which in turn provide the textbooks to students.
- Within one week after the end of each school year, students must return all textbooks assigned to them, except for those taking exams or retake exams, who must return the textbooks by the end of the academic year.
