Registering the Marriage of RA Citizens
Citizens of the Republic of Armenia must be at least 18 years old to register a marriage in Armenia.
A marriage certificate is issued upon the state registration of the marriage. If necessary, a duplicate of the certificate can also be obtained online (including duplicates of paper certificates issued before 2021).
How to apply?
To register a marriage online, after clicking the "Continue" button, you must:
- complete the "YesEm" identification,
- fill in the personal details of the applicant and the future spouse,
- confirm the marital status of the couple,
- on the surname change page, each spouse may choose the other's surname (in case of a change, both spouses must carry the same surname),
- choose the preferred marriage registration date, confirm, and sign the application (electronically),
- notify the other spouse via email,
- sign digitally and submit the application.
Requirements
To register a marriage online, you must:
- be a citizen of the Republic of Armenia and at least 18 years old,
- have a "YesEm" identification and a digital signature.
Required Information
To register a marriage online, the Social Security Number of both parties is required.
Payment Amount and Procedure
- State registration of marriage is free of charge.
- A solemn marriage ceremony can cost up to 60,000 AMD. Details are provided in the guide.
Delievery Period and Procedure
The marriage certificate is sent to the email address the day after the application is submitted. The couple can choose any date starting from the next working day after the application is submitted, up to a period of 6 months.
