Get Consular Certification
Consular certification verifies the authenticity of signatures on documents issued or prepared by foreign authorities within a consular region. This includes documents issued by Armenian diplomatic missions and consular establishments. It also confirms the authenticity of signatures and seals on documents issued by Armenian state bodies and organizations. Certification is carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia or by Armenian diplomatic missions and consular establishments abroad.
Documents Subject to Certification
Documents that can be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs include:
- Original documents issued by Armenian state bodies, organizations, and institutions, including their copies and related certificates.
- Original documents issued by local self-government bodies and their subordinate organizations, including their copies and related certificates.
- Notarial documents of Armenia.
- Documents and acts issued or confirmed by diplomatic missions or consular establishments of foreign countries accredited in Armenia.
Documents that can be certified by the embassy or consular establishment include:
- Documents certified or issued by competent foreign authorities.
- Documents certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia for use in foreign countries.
To Apply, You Need To:
- Visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia or the consular establishment.
- Submit all the required documents.
Required Documents
- Completed application form,
- Original document to be certified,
- Copy of the document,
- Receipt confirming payment of the state duty.
Payment Amount and Procedure
There is a state fee for consular certification of documents. For individuals, it is 5,000 AMD, and for legal entities, it is 15,000 AMD.
Delivery Period and Procedure
Certification is completed within 2 working days from the date of application submission. If additional verification is required, the process may take longer. For applications submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the maximum extension is 10 working days. For applications submitted to consular establishments, the maximum extension is 15 working days.

Attention
A document certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must also be certified at the diplomatic mission or consular establishment of the foreign country where it will be used.
A document or act is considered valid in Armenia once it has been certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In foreign countries, recognition requires certification by the relevant foreign ministry or authorized bodies of that country.
