Security and Protection

The purpose of military registration is to ensure the participation of RA citizens in the defense of the Republic of Armenia.

The following individuals must register for military service:

Male citizens who have reached the age of 16 during the year
Citizens who have not completed military registration within the established period
Male citizens who have acquired RA citizenship

Military registration in a foreign country is carried out by the RA diplomatic mission or consular office in the respective country.

Currently, this service is available only in person. We are working on the online version.

To register for military service, visit the RA diplomatic mission or consular office in the country in question and present the following documents:

Application
Letter of commitment
Autobiography
Copy of birth certificate
Copy of passport
2 color photos 35×45 mm (maximum 6 months old)
Certificate of residence
Certificate of Family Composition
Resume (from an educational institution)
Documents on health status (if available)

Attention
After registering for military service, citizens who are subject to service will receive a notice from the RA embassy or consular office by May 1 and November 1 of the year, either by signature or via electronic communication, to report to the RA military commissariat.
