Receive Housing Provision as a Disabled Military Pensioner or a Family Member of a Deceased Serviceman.
The program is aimed at the families of servicemen of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia and the border troops and special units of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia. Within the framework of the program, the state supports beneficiaries in acquiring an apartment.
The support can be used by:
- families of former servicemen who are entitled to receive a military disability pension.
- families of deceased servicemen.
To receive support, it is necessary to submit an application with the required documents to the corresponding Municipality, or to the City Hall if registered in Yerevan.
Requirements
Support can be received by the families of former servicemen who are entitled to a military disability pension of Group 1 and Group 2 (and in some cases also Group 3), as well as the families of deceased servicemen, provided they meet the following conditions:
- They do not own an apartment in the Republic of Armenia under the right of ownership.
- They possess a Grade 4 emergency apartment that is subject to demolition and is uninhabitable from a safety perspective.
- Those with First Grade disability have less than 5.5 square metres of living space per person.
The requirements presented are detailed more thoroughly in the guideline.
Required documents
To receive support, the following documents must be submitted along with the application:
- Copies of passports for adult individuals (including registration pages).
- Marriage or divorce certificates (if applicable).
- Birth certificates for minor children, as well as certificates regarding enrollment in education, disability status, and being under care.
- Certificate of Medical-Social Expert Examination regarding disability status.
- Copy of the military-medical expert conclusion regarding the causal link between the serviceman's illness or injury and military service.
- Certificate of social security (if the applicant is an employee of the Ministry of Defence, the certificate is provided by the corresponding subdivision; if an employee of the National Security Service, the certificate is obtained from the National Security Service).
- Certificate from the Cadastre Committee regarding whether the beneficiary owns residential property under the right of ownership and whether they have sold it in the last 5 years.
- Certificate with a detailed description of the housing conditions.
- Confirmation of the right to a military pension or the fact of death (of the serviceman).
Amount of support
Support is provided in two ways: through an apartment with ownership rights or a housing purchase certificate.
- Gratuitous Apartment with Ownership Rights: The state provides a ready-made apartment that legally becomes the property of the beneficiary. The apartment is provided without any obligation for monetary compensation.
- Housing Purchase Certificate: With this certificate, the beneficiary has the opportunity to purchase an apartment from any physical or legal entity through state financing, subject to certain conditions and timeframes.
Delivery period and procedure
The support is provided within 1 month after the application has been reviewed by the relevant commission. The approval of the support also depends on the current housing fund of the Ministry of Defense and existing priorities.
