Obtain an ID card
After turning 16, Armenian citizens can voluntarily apply for an ID card. The ID card is an official document that proves your identity and citizenship, and it is intended for use within Armenia. The ID card is valid for 10 years.
To get an ID card, you must appear in person at your preferred passport office by making an online appointment.
When booking the appointment, you will need to provide the details of the person who will attend in person. Each person, regardless of age, must make an individual appointment.
For displaced persons from Artsakh and elderly individuals, appointment booking is done separately. For more information, you should contact the relevant passport office.
To book an appointment online, you need to:
- Enter your email address and phone number on the page that opens, then enter the code sent to your email.
- In the “Appointment Booking” section, select your preferred office or department.
- Provide the details of the person applying for the ID card.
- In the “Choose Date and Time” window, pick the most convenient available time and date.
