Support for People with Disabilities

Receive Social-Psychological Support

The program supports individuals with disabilities, those with health and/or other issues, as well as children and young people from families registered in the family vulnerability assessment system.

Currently, this service is available only in person. We are working on the online version.
Who Can Apply?
Citizens of Armenia and foreign citizens
Application Duration
15-20 minutes

To apply for social-psychological support, the required documents must be submitted to the Territorial Center of the Unified Social Service. (to view the English version, use the browser's translation tool)

About the Program

  • The program provides social-rehabilitation services at a day center. These services help beneficiaries live in the community and with their families, promote social inclusion, and prevent placement in 24-hour care institutions.
  • The services are co-financed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and are delivered through non-governmental organizations.


Requirements

Social-psychological support is available for:

  • Individuals with disabilities
  • Individuals with health and/or other issues (intellectual, mental)
  • Children and young people from families registered in the family vulnerability assessment system

 

Required Documents

For Armenian citizens, the following documents must be submitted:

  • Passport or identification card; for children under 16, a birth certificate
  • If there is no identification card, the public service number or a certificate confirming non-receipt of the public service number
  • Medical certificate regarding the health condition, issued by a medical institution
  • Functional assessment decision for individuals recognized as disabled

For foreign citizens or stateless individuals with residence rights in Armenia, the following documents must be submitted:

  • Document confirming the right to reside in Armenia (residence card); for individuals with refugee status, a convention travel document
  • Medical certificate regarding the health condition, issued by the appropriate medical institution(s)
  • Functional assessment decision for individuals recognized as disabled

 

Delivery Period and Procedure

The timeline and procedure for receiving services must be clarified with the non-governmental organization where the applicant has been referred by the Unified Social Service Center.
