Starting from September 1, 2025, a new procedure for registering road accidents comes into force in Armenia. If the accident does not result in bodily injuries and the property damage does not exceed 400,000 AMD in Yerevan or 200,000 AMD in the regions, drivers are required to resolve the matter and clear the road within 20 minutes.

Failure to comply with these obligations may result in a fine of up to 30,000 AMD.

Drivers can:

• resolve the issue by mutual agreement, without registering the accident,
• use the “ASWA” application to report the accident fast.

Attention

The ASWA application allows you to photograph the accident even without internet access and automatically send notifications to insurance companies.

The new procedure aims to reduce traffic congestion and simplify the accident registration process.
