Due to the upcoming COP17 event taking place in Yerevan, the capital's public schools foresee changes in the educational process. According to these changes, no classes will be held in Yerevan schools from October 19 to October 30 inclusive.

To make up for the hours scheduled in the school curriculum, starting September 15 and continuing for 5 weeks, schools in the capital will operate on a six-day schedule.

As a result of this change, students' autumn break will be extended, lasting 2 weeks instead of 1 week (October 19–30).
