Vacation and Rest

With the help of this guide, you will learn about:

Additionally, you will find information on how rest is organized in the workplace and the different types of rest available.

Vacation

Vacation is a period calculated in working days, provided to an employee for rest and recovery. During this time, the employee's job is protected, and they are paid their average salary.

Conditions for Granting Leave

You can take paid annual leave after working at the organization for 6 consecutive months, or earlier if your employer agrees.

If you have not yet completed 6 months of continuous work, you may take unpaid leave for a maximum of 60 days per year. In this case, no vacation pay or salary is provided for those leave days.

Vacation duration, pay, and calculation

  • The duration of annual leave is 20 working days for a five-day work week and 24 working days for a six-day work week.
  • The employee can use the leave in parts. If the annual leave is taken in installments, one of those parts must be at least 10 working days.
  • Vacation pay is calculated by multiplying the employee's average daily wage by the number of vacation days provided.
