The above vaccinations should be given to children only in organizations providing medical care and services (polyclinic, health center, outpatient clinic, first aid station). It is very important that the child is vaccinated according to the above schedule.
According to the World Health Organization, there are several contraindications:
- If a child has had a very severe allergic or anaphylactic reaction to a previous dose of the vaccine (the main signs are hives, wheezing, and a drop in blood pressure), the child should not be vaccinated with this vaccine.
- If the child has severe immunodeficiency (for example, as a result of AIDS, malignant neoplasms, immunosuppressive drugs, and radiation therapy).
- If the child has contraindications to specific vaccines (for example, in cases of developing neurological conditions, vaccination with a vaccine containing a pertussis component is not performed, or vaccination against hepatitis B and tuberculosis is not performed in infants weighing less than 2000 grams).
Attention
In the 9th month of a child's life, it is necessary to have a blood test to check the hemoglobin level, as well as to schedule a consultation with a neurologist.
